We are a committed group of human rights activists. We are located in the Clear Lake/Bay Area section of Houston but we are focused on issues worldwide.

Who We Are
The Houston Bay Area local group #1017 was formed in January 2019 by concerned citizens interested in establishing a southeast Houston Amnesty International chapter. Our group meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:15 p.m. Central, currently via Zoom. Most of our members live in the Clear Lake section of Houston and surrounding areas, but we welcome anyone who is passionate about defending human rights. We invite you to join us!
What We Do
Each month we feature a speaker representing a different interest area. Organizations represented include Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid, Hindus for Human Rights, Committee for the Protection of Journalists, and Moms Demand Action. At our meetings, you will expand your understanding of critical issues and learn how to make change.
What We Care About

Gun Violence
